Race Results

Race Results & Progress Tracking

Upload race results from timing systems and let participants track their performance across events.

What are Race Results?

Race results capture finish times, rankings, and other performance data for each participant. Results are linked to participants by bib number and displayed alongside their photos.

Key Features
  • Import results from CSV files exported by timing systems
  • Flexible column detection — works with most CSV formats
  • Handles partial data gracefully — not all fields are required
  • Cross-event progress tracking for participants

For Organizers

Uploading Results

Navigate to the Results tab in your event details and click "Import Results".

  1. Export results from your timing system as a CSV file
  2. Open the event in the organization dashboard
  3. Go to the Results tab and click Import Results
  4. Select your CSV file — columns are detected automatically
  5. Preview the import: check matched bibs and validation errors
  6. Confirm the import
CSV Format

The system uses flexible column detection. Your CSV must have a bib number column (required). All other columns are optional.

Required: bibNumber, bib, bib_number, number

Optional columns: finish time, chip time, gun time, overall rank, gender rank, category rank, age group, gender, category, pace, distance, status, first name, last name

Editing & Correcting Results

You can edit individual participant results by clicking the edit button in the results table. All fields are optional — leave blank to keep existing values.

Clearing Results

To remove all results from an event, use the "Clear All Results" button. This removes result data from all participants but keeps the participant records.

For Participants

Viewing Your Results

When an organizer uploads race results, they appear automatically on your event photo page above the photo gallery.

Your result card shows: finish time, chip time, overall rank, category rank, pace, and status.

Progress Tracking

The My Progress page shows your performance across all events. It includes personal records, finish time trends, and rank comparisons.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my CSV only has finish times, not all fields?

That's fine! Only the bib number is required. All other fields are optional. The system displays whatever data is available.

How do I mark DNF or DNS results?

Include a 'status' column in your CSV with values like DNF, DNS, or DQ. These are recognized automatically.

Can I update results after importing?

Yes. You can edit individual results through the results table, or re-import a CSV to update matching entries.

What happens if a bib number in the CSV doesn't match any participant?

Unmatched bib numbers are reported in the import summary. Add missing participants first, then re-import.
